Invetta Model Farm trades as Invetta Limited, a registered company in Uganda. The farm is a family business, founded by Peter Senfuka in the year 2010, as a community fruit model farm – with the objective of demonstrating modern commercial farming. Invetta Limited Uganda is affiliated with Invetta Limited UK as they have the same founder.  Invetta UK is a strategic marketing arm of Invetta Uganda.

 

Invetta Model Farm is a crop, plantation and livestock farming operation that is based in Kaliiro Trading Centre, Kalungu Sub-County, Kalungu District in Uganda. We have done our detailed market research and feasibility studies. The farm sits on a five acres piece of land comprising of  mangoes trees, guavas trees, citrus trees, passion fruit garden, vanilla, macadamia trees, and other rotational seasonal crops like chillies, African tomatoes, soy bean. Also in 2019 a livestock breeding business division was introduced.

Ever since its inception, Invetta Model Farm has greatly developed, and now is on the way to become a fully integrated modernised farm when in the year 2019 piggery was started. In June 2019 the on going construction of the piggery structures started. In January 2020 the first batch of pigs stock was introduced consisting of 9 sows, 5 fatteners and 1 boar.

 

Our livestock breeding business is going to be on international standards, hence will be involved in commercial breeding of pigs. We will be involved in breeding services, farm support services, livestock health services, animal feed supplier, organic fertiliser supplier, biogas suppliers etc.

In the nearest future, hopefully within the first five years of officially running the integrated Invetta Model Farm, we will start our meat (pork) processing plant and also start exporting our products to other parts of the world.

Which is why aside from the fact that we’ve secured the required farming land for breeding pigs in commercial level, we have also hired some key employees who are currently undergoing training so as to be able to fit into the ideal picture of the 21^st century livestock breeding workforce that we want to build.

We are in the pig farming business because we want to leverage on the vast opportunities available in the livestock farming industry in Africa, to contribute our quota in growing the Uganda Economy; in national food (meat) production, raw materials production for industries; to export agriculture produce from Uganda to other countries and over and above to make profit.

Invetta Ltd is well equipped and well positioned to become one of the leading pig farming businesses in Uganda, which is why we have been able to source for the best hands and equipment to run the business.

We have put processes and strategies in place that will help us employ best practices when it comes to livestock breeding / pig farming processes and meat processing and packaging as required by the regulating bodies in Uganda and internationally.

Invetta Model Farm trading as Invetta Ltd is a private registered agribusiness company that is owned and managed by Peter Senfuka and his immediate family members. The company has been solely financed by the owner – Peter Senfuka and his immediate family members, and this will continue at least for a period of time until strategic investors are identified.

Before starting Invetta Model Farm, Peter Senfuka has worked as an Accountant in the United Kingdom, while on the side conducting extensive research in agribusiness for over 10 years globally. Now he plans to run his own integrated farming business.

Community Out-reach: Invetta Model Farm’s founder in conjunction with other progressive minded farmers in Kalungu District, in the year 2019, have founded and registered a farming group, named: Kalungu Integrated Farming Allied Group (KIFAG). KIFAG’s main objective is to commercialise farming in Kalungu District, copy of Registration Certificate is attached.  Furthermore, Invetta Model Farm has engaged its operation with Kitovu Mobile Farm School. The school has over 90 groups of disadvantaged youths with their parents/guardians organised into savings farm groups.  This strategy of community outreach is helping to introduce and spread Invetta Model Farm’s farming commercialisation programmes in Kalungu District.  However, there is a need of delivering quality piglets and planting material to these communities. Invetta Model Farm is planning to engage with National Agricultural Advisory Services’ (NAADS) in partnership for Invetta Model Farm to be appointed as a supplier of these needed piglets and planting materials (fruit tree seedlings) to these already receptive farmers.

 

Invetta Model Farm T/A Invetta Ltd is a registered farming business that is committed to pig farming and meat (pork) processing and packaging for both the Ugandan market and the global market. We will also produce related raw materials for industries in commercial quantities.

We will also ensure that we operate a standard food processing plant as part of our complimentary business offering. These are the areas we will concentrate on in our livestock (pig) farming business and other areas of plant farming.
